The village in Alta Pusteria offers lots of options for active pastimes. In winter you can strap on your cross-country, alpine or touring skis, while in summer you can explore the Sesto Dolomites in mountain boots. You can start many tours right from the farm, and with our tips, you are guaranteed to reach your destination off the beaten track.

Olperl's mountain world - a natural adventure park for children

The 1.5 km circular trail starts at the mountain station of the Alta Pusteria cable car and can be reached within a 1-hour hike from the Pfeifhof. Immerse yourself in the Olperl legendary mountain world and learn all about this mysterious creature and his animal friends.

Croda Rossa

The Croda Rossa cable car in Sesto Alta Val Pusteria takes you up to 1,921 metres to the starting point for important via ferratas such as the Croda Rossa peak or the Croda Sora i Colesei. Families, on the other hand, will find an adventure playground and a easy-going family circular trail (suitable for pushchairs).

Hiking on the Monte Elmo in Alta Pusteria

The Monte Elmo panoramic mountain can be reached on foot from the farm in approx. 1 – 1.5 hours. From there you can continue to the beautiful summit cross “Hornisch Egg”, on the Carnic High Trail or to the surrounding mountain pastures – always with beautiful views of the magnificent Dolomites.

Three Peaks of Lavaredo

Three Peaks of Lavaredo in the Alta Val Pusteria. Who does not know them? The imposing trio and UNESCO world heritage, consisting of the large (2,999m), western (2,973m) and small (2,857m) peaks. You can reach the magnificent mountain range from the Val Fiscalina valley in 2-3 hours on safe hiking trails.

Regardless of whether you prefer a leisurely ride on an e-bike or a mountain bike – we have a vast selection of mountain bike trails and something for everyone in the mountains and valleys.

Sports facilities in Sesto

Our village also has a great sports infrastructure with a modern climbing hall (incl. bouldering room), an outdoor swimming pool newly built in 2021, as well as an indoor tennis centre and a mini golf course.

Summer toboggan run

The neighbouring village of San Candido is home to the Monte Baranci which welcomes visitors to the mountain with the longest summer toboggan run in South Tyrol and the giant kingdom of the giant Baranci. Fun & action are guaranteed – for young and old!
